This gives them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community."
Adaptive Equipment Donations
J Bird Fund Duty
"It is a J Bird Fund Duty to help find new homes for used adaptive equipment. We help send equipment all over the world, including our most recent donation to a school in Kenya. We support those with disabilities, or families with disabled individuals from all over the world by providing wheelchairs, standers, joggers, art supplies, music instruments, and other adaptive equipment to make their world a little brighter."
Special Olympics Unified

"Dedicated to promoting social inclusion through shared sports training and competition experiences, Unified Sports joins people with and without intellectual disabilities on the same team. It was inspired by a simple principle: training together and playing together is a quick path to friendship and understanding."
Theatre For All

"Theatre for All partners students with disabilities with their non-disabled peers to create a performance work of art. Our students with disabilities have the opportunity to shine in the spotlight while being supported by a typical peer."
